NY ELITE PLAYER LIZ ROGAN EARNS MAAC WEEKLY HONORS

September 5, 2015 – Siena Women’s Soccer senior goalkeeper Liz Rogan has been named the MAAC Wilson Defensive Player of the Week. She led the Saints to an undefeated record last week, with a scoreless tie at Cornell Friday night and a 2-0 shutout of defending America East Tournament Champion New Hampshire in the home opener Sunday at Siena Field. Liz posted her first two collegiate shutouts last week while totaling 17 saves. Despite Siena being out-shot 22-3, Rogan made a career-high eight saves in leading the Saints to a hard fought road point against the Big Red. She then posted a new career-best nine saves to blank a UNH squad which had entered play unbeaten over their first three matches. Rogan, who has made an average of 7.8 saves to the tune of a stellar .816 save percentage over the Saints’ first four matches of 2015, currently holds a shutout streak of 202:31.
